Vertical Ale Branding | 2019
This brand came to life from two retired veteran men who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War as fighter pilots who flew the F-4 Phantom fighter pilots. During their time out of the military, they found a common love and passion for beer; their favorite being India Pale Ales. Having time and a passion they decided to brew and create their own beer brand that was focused around their love for their fighter pilot plane. The beer company was named “Vertical Ale” with their slogan being “Freedom Never Tasted Better” The brand's first beer to produce was an IPA named “Phantom”. The men now needed a logo that highlighted them as veterans while also giving a refreshing look to their overall brand. The logo took a lot of inspiration from the winged patches that are on military uniforms these being plane wings to represent the Air Force.
