Noodle Blvd, located in Cary, North Carolina, is an Asian fusion restaurant specializing in authentic Japanese ramen and a variety of noodle-based dishes inspired by street food traditions across Asia. Known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and bold, comforting flavors, the restaurant has built a strong local following. My design work aimed to reflect Noodle Blvd’s vibrant, modern identity while honoring the rich culinary culture that inspires its menu.
This brand identity concept for Noodle Blvd in Cary, NC, was designed to reflect the restaurant’s focus on simple, traditional ingredients and bold Asian fusion flavors. For their new logo, I chose to preserve key elements from their existing design to honor the simplicity at the heart of their cuisine, while refining it to better represent both the food and the overall dining experience. The new identity introduces a clean, modern logo, a warm and inviting color palette, and a harmonious type system, all working together to capture the cozy atmosphere and creative spirit of Noodle Blvd. The branding was brought to life through a series of thoughtful mock-ups that feel fresh, authentic, and true to the restaurant’s culinary values.
Inspo behind the design
Inspired by their focus on traditional ingredients and bold flavors, the logo keeps key elements from the original design while elevating them to better reflect the dining experience. Clean, modern typography is paired with subtle, street-food-inspired textures and a fresh, vibrant color palette to give the brand a unique voice in a crowded local market.
The brand mark for Noodle Blvd combines visual elements that reflect both the restaurant’s name and its cultural roots. The circular form is inspired by traditional Asian decorative patterns, symbolizing harmony and unity, while the inner shapes suggest both swirling noodles and the chopsticks through the center indicates a Blvd, tying directly into the name “Noodle Blvd.” This blend of references creates a logo that feels both grounded in tradition and visually dynamic. The balance of structure and movement captures the essence of the restaurant: simple, honest ingredients presented with bold flavor and care.
