Amelia Island Brochure | 2019
This brochure was designed to spotlight the lesser-known historical gems of Amelia Island, a place known for its tourism but rich with overlooked stories. I chose Amelia Island not only for its cultural depth, but also for its personal significance: it’s where my parents grew up and met, giving me a unique, insider perspective. With their insights, I crafted a guide that highlights meaningful sites and facts that often get overshadowed by bigger attractions. For example, Amelia Island is the only U.S. location to have flown eight different national flags, a small detail with a big story.
Gaining the nickname “The Southern Jewel,” the island deserved a brochure that balanced portability with impact. My goal was to create something compact enough to carry around, but full of valuable historical content, helping visitors discover a richer, more authentic experience beyond the typical tourist trail.
