Cybersecurity Screensavers | 2024
During my internship with the North Carolina Department of Information Technology, I was tasked with redesigning a series of cybersecurity screensavers to improve engagement and effectiveness. The previous designs were outdated and lacked the attention needed to convey essential cybersecurity tips. Since these screensavers were meant to deliver key information that employees were required to remember, my goal was to reimagine them in a way that was both visually engaging and relevant to a modern workplace.
A major focus of this project was inclusivity. I aimed to create designs that would resonate with the department’s diverse workforce, ensuring that every employee felt represented and connected to the content. By using approachable illustrations, accessible typography, and a thoughtful color palette, I created a more welcoming and inclusive experience that aligned with the department’s values. Using Adobe Illustrator, I developed a series of 11 new screensavers that presented cybersecurity tips in a fresh, interactive-inspired format. The final designs struck a balance between functionality and fun, transforming static screens into vibrant, engaging visuals while making important cybersecurity information more memorable for all employees.
